Perth Desalination Plant

Australian teams of our Industrial Projects department ramped up in September of 2005 with an implant within customers’ organization forming a key part of the overall procurement and warehousing structure within the projects.

In 2005, Industrial Project department in Australia was awarded a freight forwarding contract and logistics consultancy Contract by the successful tender for several million US dollars Perth Seawater Desalination Project.

Further to the general freight forwarding and logistics management, our teams have also been called upon to provide charter and part charter services to transport 24 large pressure vessels that form a key part of the plants operation. All pressure vessels came from Thailand, India and the United Arab Emirates from Late February to early May 2005.

The scope of work has been all encompassing, from liaising with local shippers overseas and visiting their works, all surveys and local heavy lift transport to the site.

The high-profile government project was expected to advantage SDV International Logistics in Australia in years to come. Our Industrial Projects department in Australia have grown over the last 2 years and continue to expand its operations in this field including Oil & Gas as well.
