SDV OPE handle stevedoring and consignement for a World leader shipowner.

Since June the 1st, a World leader shipowner is one of the client of the Montoir de Bretagne Cogemar office. The recognized know how of our staff has been major asset for us to win the contract.

On June 7th, we handled the stevedoring of the first feeder ship.This vessel will operate weekly with 300 movements, with potentially 14 500 movements a year with 1 300 refrigerated containers. Another vessels also stopped on july the 9th to unload 140 empty containers.

* Feeder: A vessel which is part of a cargo network in which the larger, faster vessels only call at the major ports at both ends of the area being covered, and the smaller ports are served by the smaller feeder vessels which transfer the cargo to and from the major port terminals and thus keep the larger vessels filled closer to capacity and spare them the expense and loss of time in loading and unloading in the subsidiary ports.
