SDV International Logistics:
for the Beaujolais wine each hour is numbered.
SDV International Logistics has deployed means in keeping
up with the event to satisfy these many lovers of the Beaujolais
Nouveau, who will be able to taste it on the third Thursday of
November.
For more 20 years now, SDV International Logistics leads all the
operations between the wine and spirits warehouses, the transport
by plane and the warehouses of the customers abroad.
European tour
In order to transport and coordinate the shipping of the Beaujolais,
SDV International Logistics chartered a fleet of semi-trailers
headed for the airport of Lyon St Exupéry, Roissy CDG,
Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, and of Luxembourg. The goods are
then loaded either on board of full chartered designed for this
purpose, or on board regular services of airlines serving Japan.
For the SDV International Logistics company agency in Lyon (France)
this operation required a year of work: a year of meetings, negotiations
and decision making between the different network members, wine
and spirit warehouses and customers. The success of this operation
depends on the good preparation of the transport.
For ten days the team works 24h/24 to organise the shippings.
Leader in Japan
For this special event Japan will import about 10 millions of
bottles.
The sales team of SDV International Logistics in Japan had started
their activities in March as every year and helped securing the
largest part of the deal. In fact, SDV International Logistics
is the leader in promoting the Beaujolais Nouveau market in Japan
since the very beginning.
Reactivity and know-how
SDV International Logistics coordinates all the transport and
logistics from the end of October (collection from the producers)
to the 14th November (customs clearance, distribution to importers)
to enable this wine to be tasted on the 16th November.
