Germany, the strongest European economic power offers an world-famous industry and still ranks among the strongest exporting countries in the world. Being a major location for fairs, exhibitions, congresses and  seminars, Germanys big cities like Munich, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, Hannover, Cologne, Nuremberg, Stuttgart and Berlin, its capital, welcome each year countless visitors from the entire world.

The German territory spreads over 357 050 km², and consists of 16 states (Bundesländer). Situated in the middle of Europe, Germany is the western European country which has the largest number of neighbour countries; in the north, it is bordered with the North Sea, Denmark and the Baltic Sea, in the west with the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. In the south, it is linked to Switzerland and Austria, and in the East,  to Poland and the Czech states.
